Welcome to World Heritage...
World Heritage is a specialized travel company, founded in 1986 to provide field services for corporate groups, development funds and associations.
The staff is composed of guides, researchers and travel planners who have worked with American Express, The Moorings Yacht Charters, Sobek Expeditions, Universal Studios and MGM /UA Pictures. Company offices overlook the creek in historic Angels Camp, California; from this base our projects operate on five continents. The list includes Africa (Sahara, Congo, Kenya, Tanzania, Zimbabwe, South Africa, Egypt); Europe (Britain, Portugal, Spain, France, Italy, Croatia, Hungary, Czech, Switzerland, Netherlands and more); Latin America (Ecuador, Chile, Argentina, Peru, Costa Rica, Belize & Mexico); Asia (Bhutan, Cambodia, Thailand, Vietnam, China and Indonesia) as well as New Zealand, Australia, Polynesia and World Heritage sites of Canada and the United States.
The World Heritage name is adapted from UNESCO's World Heritage Convention.
Since 1972, the most noteworthy wilderness and cultural landmarks on earth have been designated World Heritage Sites by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization. Early lists of World Heritage sites included the Galapagos Islands and Mount Everest, the Roman Forum and Machu Picchu, along with the Grand Canyon, the Great Barrier Reef and the Great Wall of China.
The list has now grown to nearly over 800 sites, and World Heritage provides top-notch field services to reach these and other landmarks safely and in style. For more information, please visit the UNESCO World Heritage website.
